    Logistics Supervisor - Boksburg

    • The main purpose of the position is to be a Co-Driver towards New Truck Sales to achieve their sales objectives through a wholly owned and operated sales organization. To ensure that the department is fully compliant in terms of process and procedure within the levels defined by the organisation within given authorisation rules, guidelines, policies, procedures. 

    Reporting:  This position reports to the Sales Admin & Logistics Manager  or to the position that the company may appoint. 
    Job Objectives:

    • To plan and control all vehicle movements between Assembly Plant / Storage / Dealerships / Body Builders and Customers. 
    • Carry out all stock takes and issue full stock listing showing the accurate locations of every vehicle in stock. 
    • Co-ordinate and control the fitment of extras to new vehicles. 
    • Do daily reporting on all the extra fitments completed, Customer Adaptation (CA) updates and Pre-Delivery Inspection’s (PDI) completed. 
    • Supervision over the Drivers and Logistics Clerks. 
    • To plan CA/ PDI for all new vehicles. 
    • Manage the physical movements and condition of demonstration vehicles. 
    • Ensure the RDC Updates and daily stock list distributions. 
    • Arrange export process including police clearance and final receipt of documentation for all new vehicles being exported. 
    • Administration and co-ordination of trade-in vehicles  
    • Facilitation of vehicle NaTIS changes and introduction of new vehicles 
    • Control of team trade plates and the annual renewal of trade plates  
    • Monitor and arrange for stock maintenance of vehicles in in stock  
    • Any other related duty as required by the Sales Admin & Logistics Manager 

    Qualification, Skills & Knowledge: 

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience 
    • Preparation and presentation of product info 
    • Planning & Organisation 
    • Project Management 
    • Business Acumen 
    • Understanding of Truck Market 
    • Good Negotiation Skills 

    Key Competencies: 

    • A true team player with strong interpersonal skills – including excellent written and oral communication with the ability to communicate appropriately with all levels of management and colleagues. 
    • Highly competent with digital & IT tools, including Office 365 and Volvo Group related systems. 
    • Analytical and strategic thinking with a strong decision making and problem-solving skills. 
    • Flexibility, energy and time management skills with the ability to deal with changing deadlines and priorities. 
    • Fluent in English, verbal and written communication. 
    • Good knowledge of the market and the customers .
