    In order for us to continue to grow, we need a strong Talent Acquisition Specialist who will ensure that we are attracting and hiring the right people for our needs, that we have a seamless and effective recruitment and onboarding process and that all candidates have a positive experience that aligns with Mama Money’s values. This is a permanent position based in Cape Town - the role is hybrid and would require in-office work twice a week.

    As our Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will look after various elements related to recruitment, onboarding, and employee wellness.

    From a recruitment perspective you will:

    • Ensure a solid understanding of the business functions and requirements, flagging if further information, activities or support are required to assist with this
    • Manage the entire recruitment process from inception to completion (i.e. taking briefs, advertising the role, sourcing suitable candidates, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, issuing offer letters, and background checks)
    • Source candidates for a variety of roles across Engineering, Data, Finance, Compliance, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and other ad-hoc roles that may arise
    • Screen potential candidates for skill and culture fit
    • Draw up shortlists
    • Arrange and coordinate interviews with candidates and hiring teams
    • Provide feedback to candidates throughout the process to ensure they are updated at all times as to the status of the process
    • Provide consistent feedback internally on role status and flag any issues, delays, or concerns as it relates to the internal process or candidate experience
    • Assist in salary benchmarking exercises when required
    • Ensure placement deadlines are met or flag in advance if they will not be
    • Build an active pipeline of suitable candidates for future opportunities within the business
    • Look out for opportunities to improve the candidate experience and internal process - use data to support these decisions
    • Work closely with the marketing team on recruitment marketing initiatives

    Your onboarding responsibilities would include:

    • Liaising with IT, Office Management and other relevant departments to ensure new joiners are set up ahead of the start date
    • Arrange onboarding sessions with relevant departments and new joiners
    • Manage welcome comms with new joiners to ensure we have all the necessary information
    • Be present and accessible for onboarding week to welcome and manage new joiner's smooth transition into the company
    • Compile and distribute monthly onboarding surveys and share these with relevant people
    • Analyse survey results and recommend improvements based on feedback received
    • Spearhead ad-hoc onboarding events

    In addition, you will:

    • Be involved in ad-hoc talent projects that relate to employee wellness and culture
    • Have a lot of fun

    About you:

    • You have proven experience recruiting people in a variety of roles at all levels
    • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • You are passionate about candidate experience and understand the importance of moving quickly while ensuring you maintain a high standard of quality
    • You are adaptable, resilient, and proactive
    • You are well-versed in sourcing methods and understand how to source and engage both active and passive candidates
    • You can work autonomously and prioritise your workload
    • You are eager to get involved beyond the scope of recruitment
    • You are based in Cape Town; the role is hybrid and would require in-office work twice a week.

    It would be a bonus if:

    • You have worked within the fintech space or at a scaling startup
