    Management Couple: Lodge Manager/ Field Guide

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Her –

    • All FOH duties – guest relations (meet and greet, hosting, curio shop sales); communication with the res team as to particular guest requirements; guiding allocations and management of private vehicles
    • Staff / HR – management of all staff; monthly wages; recording of leave; F & B; Housekeeping
    • Administration – stock control; month end stock counts; petty cash management; balancing of guest monies received

    Him –

    • Guiding – two game drives per day and bush walks
    • Managing and running the Kids Kubs program
    • Assisting at River Sands where necessary
    • Two week management – assisting with FOH duties
    • General management of the maintenance team and working with the Head of Maintenance

    Qualifications

    • A Matric and any tertiary qualification is needed – preferably one in the tourism industry. Him – preferably Level II FGASA and full trails / back up trails. Up to date first aid. Her - Certifications – any qualifications relating to computer skills; team management; FOH management or reservations.


    Skills
     

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the tourism industry. Her - knowledge of Innkeeper and Nightsbridge preferable but not imperative. Excellent computer literacy skills. Flawless English both spoken and written. Personal characteristics: must be a team player and able to communicate effectively with all staff. Dedicated and committed, loyal and trustworthy. Driver’s license, and PDP is preferable (but not essential). Physical abilities: good mental and physical health; preferably a non-smoker. Key Skills – both: Need strong leadership skills and team coordinating. Organized, result orientated and highly motivated. Basic understanding of financials.
