    Marketing Manager Gaming - MMG0320

    Job Purpose

    • The Gaming segment will lead the Gaming Strategy and business objectives for Sun International, providing thought leadership and advice on measuring product performance, revenue growth, operational governance and service standard, as well as building strategic relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; and leading the integration of group-wide projects into operations.
    • The Marketing Manager: Gaming, will have accountability for leading and managing the integration and delivery of multiple gaming marketing programmes including directing and growing the Customer Experience strategy (including Customer Insights and MVG Loyalty Programme) and ensuring database integrity; initiating, conceptualising and managing the distribution of direct marketing campaigns and activations; developing the gaming promotions and bonusing strategy including the conceptualisation, design, development, planning and measurement of gaming promotions, and managing the digital marketing strategy for gaming to support the gaming business in maximising footfall to the gaming business properties based on business intelligence insights; achieving customer acquisition, growth, reactivation and retention targets and building the Sun International gaming brand as the casino brand of choice, thereby enhancing the revenue potential with optimum returns of the business. The role will also focus on building a solid gaming marketing talent pipeline to support innovative and sustainable gaming marketing solutions for the Sun International Group into the future.

    Education

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications or relevant equivalent

    Experience:

    1. 12 years marketing experience including a minimum of 3 years experience in the planning and implementation of marketing campaigns, gaming promotions and bonusing systems
    2. 3 years experience as a marketing manager at a large SI business unit is preferred
    3. Demonstrated ability in the use of digital marketing and social media campaigns and multimedia content creation
    4. Experience leading and managing teams
    5. Demonstrated innovation and decision-making skills to support management in achieving business goals and footfall targets

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Provide thought leadership, advice and consultation on Sun Internationals Gaming marketing portfolio and strategies nationally
    • Develop new and innovative strategic marketing plans and breakthroughs for a competitive market advantage to support the operationalisation of the current and future Gaming Revenue Growth and Optimisation Strategy
    • Grow the Sun International Gaming brand across various online platforms and social media channels to increase customer recognition and grow interest and excitement around the brand as the casino brand of choice
    • Collaborate with the business unit properties to positively position and protect Sun International's ongoing reputation management of the brand
    • Influence present and future brand strategies and organisational positioning, and content management by determining and evaluating current and future market trends, promoting the company's reputation in all messaging with the public including effective social media and media relations with broadcast, print and new media channels
    • Drive a best-in-class customer insights culture that provides an understanding of who our customer is; and analysing, measuring and providing insights reporting into customer experiences and preferences, based on business intelligence data analyses
    • Oversee the organisation and programme management of large brand-building and gaming promotion events ensuring critical relationships with key stakeholders, sponsors and operating teams are developed and grown
    • Build the MVG Loyalty Programme brand within Gaming to leverage improved customer loyalty, repeat business and increased visitations by guests to the business unit properties
    • The customer relationship database is complete and accurate with comprehensive and valid data to provide consistent and reliable insights into Sun International customers, their preferences and feedback
    • Gaming marketing campaigns and direct marketing campaigns are conceptualised and measured to support the achievement of Gaming business objectives and targets and benchmarked against leading practice in the industry, based on BI insights and data analyses
    • Leisure revenue targets are achieved at various Gaming properties across the Group
    • Develop and support VIP and key customer relationships to grow customer visitation, acquisition and retention targets
    • Sun's high-performing Gaming marketing talent is developed, coached and retained
    • Inspirational leadership to enhance employee engagement and motivation and nurture a performance driven culture within Gaming marketing
    • Relationship agreements with key suppliers, business partners and sponsors are built, negotiated and managed to achieve the business objectives and leverage new opportunities and joint initiatives
    • Results of campaigns and programmes are monitored, measured, evaluated and used as a foundation for future learning on campaigns to maximise return on investment
    • Collaboration with the Gaming Business Segment and unit marketing teams to develop, design and integrate operational marketing objectives
