Requirements

• BEng or BSc degree in Electrical Engineering, or BTech degree in Electrical Engineering
• Registered Professional Engineer or eligible for registration, or Registered Professional Engineering Technologist or eligible for registration
• Minimum of five (5) years’ postgraduate technical experience of which three (3) years should be managerial experience with extensive exposure to Medium Voltage electrical distribution infrastructure, with particular emphasis and knowledge relating to operations and maintenance management
• Network and equipment commissioning and maintenance
• Knowledge of maintenance policies and standards
• Knowledge of reliability centred maintenance practices
• Knowledge of maintenance management systems
• Proficiency in compiling and managing capital budgets
• Code B driver's licence.

Key Performance Areas

• Conduct research of current and new national and international standards and specifications for maintenance of distribution networks to establish regulatory framework and accepted standards
• Prepare detailed maintenance and service tender specifications in accordance with accepted national and international standards and supply chain management policy for approval by the bid  specification committees, convening, chairing and sitting on tender bid evaluation committees and managing and co-ordinating technical details of tender and contracts including post-award phase
• Data stewardship for service masters for routine services, service contracts, framework orders, and contracts for maintenance services
• Maintain and ensure compliance with work standards set by maintenance and service standards/practices specialist for research, planning, design, project implementation, documentation, record keeping and written communication.
