Minimum educational qualification: Qualification that allows registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Nursing Assistant. Registration with a professional council: Registration with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant.
Experience:
Grade 1: None.
Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognisable experience after registration with the SANC as Nursing Assistant.
Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognisable experience after registration with the SANC as Nursing Assistant. Inherent requirement of the job: Willingness to rotate to other wards in the facility. Must be prepared to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint and knowledge of recordkeeping procedures. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Good organisational skills and the ability to function under pressure and as part of a team. Ability to accept accountability and responsibility and to work independently
