The Appointee should:

• Onsetter’s Certificate
• At least 1 years’ experience at an Operational shaft
• Station controller specific modules training / modules
• Medically fit to work in the specific business area.
• Clear security screening record.
• Clear credit record.
• Valid driver’s license (if applicable)

Key Responsibilities:

• Operations Maintains ‘Zero tolerance’ levels throughout task  Completes pre-start and daily maintenance checks on equipment and safety devices at each station before commencing work.  Reports, repairs or replaces sub-standard components.  Maintains equipment and accessories to required standards. Diverts required material cars and hoppers from material way to station area.  Obtains shaft delivery schedule and takes crew to required station  Signals clearance and controls arrival of cars  Removes cars from material way to station area  Ensures adherence to procedures for sensitive materials Controls administration of task  Receives and checks shaft schedules  Monitors and records the delivery of material to the levels  Completes and forwards necessary documentation Promotes team culture  Encourages initiatives and delegates responsibility where appropriate  Shares information with the team  Provides technical mentorship and guidance
• Stakeholder Relations  Maintaining relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and externally at all levels and cross-functionally.  Ensuring open communication channels with all relevant stakeholders. Financial Management Cost Savings:  Adhering to cost saving and cash conservation initiatives. Building a values-based organisational culture  Actively support and meaningfully participate in the execution of the segment specific organisational development plan. This support will manifest in the targeted shift in culture as described by a valid culture assessment. ESG Compliance  Align to international responsible mining principles.  SA Gold Operations: Align to World Gold Council (WGC) Responsible Gold Mining Principles (RGMPs).  SA PGM Operations: Enhance Together for Sustainability (eTfS) initiative. SHE Compliance  Maintain and comply with SHE standards within the work environment.  Participate in risk assessments and investigate and take appropriate action as per identified risks.  Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
