Job Function
To lead, integrate and align the operations value-chain function through the development and implementation of a functional strategy, operating model and policies, contributing to effective service delivery, client satisfaction, profitability and reduced operational risk.
Manage all aspects of the supply chain of Imperial KWS Logistics including but not limited to:
Assisting in the creation, and effecting the implementation of strategic plans
Ensuring the achievement of continuous improvement and operational excellence
Overall growth, sustainability and the achievement of budgeted profits
Creating and maintaining sound relationships with all stakeholders and
Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation Effective People management
Responsibilities
Providing strong operational leadership
Responsible for the management of customer rate data base to ensure that the rate structure is continuously up to date and escalations are correctly and timeously applied.
Ensure that that the company meets all HSSE/ SHEQ and on time delivery requirements of our customers.
Involved with and sign off all projects costing and tender
Ensure that follow up project’s audits are undertaken so as to ensure any potential problems are highlighted and rectified
Attend company’s monthly management meeting and will report to the meeting on achievement, problems / challenges, volumes, efficiencies 2 and opportunities.
Ensure that the company is providing our customer with a cost effective, reliable and quality service
Qualifications
An appropriate Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
Skilled and requirements
At least 6 years Road Transport Operations experience at management level
Have extensive human resource management and business acumen
Must have high level of communication and ability to interact in this sphere at high level internally and externally
Must have intimate understanding of financial and statistics
Analytical
Project Management skills essential
Must have a proven track record in managing complex logistical business
Taking ownership and leading the operational activities of the Company
Participating in commercial strategy, sales and marketing activities & strong focus and proven record on HSSE / SHEQ
Working knowledge of relevant IR legislation and NBCRFLI collective agreement Report writing and presentation skills
