Order Management Controller at Core Group

Role Purpose

• The Order Management Controller is responsible for managing the full order lifecycle across multiple sales channels. This includes accurate order capturing, tracking, allocation, backorder management, and customer communication.
• The role ensures orders are processed accurately and efficiently while maintaining strong customer relationships and meeting agreed SLAs and lead times. This position plays a critical role in ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction within the supply chain function.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full order lifecycle across multiple sales channels, from order capture to fulfilment and invoicing
• Ensure accurate order processing, including pricing, allocations, freight, and customer details
• Monitor and manage backorders, providing regular updates and reports to customers
• Communicate proactively with customers regarding order status, delays, and allocations
• Resolve order-related queries and issues within agreed service levels
• Track daily order releases and ensure adherence to operational cut-offs
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with internal processes and training requirements
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment and balanced workload across channels

What a Typical Day Looks Like

• High-volume data capturing on Syspro.
• Monitoring order cut-offs and warehouse releases.
• Communicating with customers regarding allocations, delays, and updates.
• Managing tickets and resolving queries.
• Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
• Switching between multiple customer accounts and channels throughout the day.

Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12) - Minimum requirement
• 2+ years working experience in a similar role
• Proven customer service experience
• Experience in order capturing and full order lifecycle management
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience working on Syspro
• Experience using a ticketing system (e.g., Freshservice or similar)
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to complete full processes end-to-end
