Job Description:
As our Plant Production Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Assist Manager Production to develop annual budget for plant sections
SHE systems Management
Ensure that plant section operates in a safe, predictable and sustainable manner
Develop and maintain site specific standards, codes of practices, systems and procedures in accordance with guidelines and the Act
Identify key performance shortfalls and gaps, and critical improvement areas
Manage performance of direct production staff
Take corrective action to deliver daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly targets
Ensure availability and allocate production resources (people, materials and money) across all shifts
Tactical plans for implementation of plant goals and objectives
Collaborate with the technical team to optimize the plant
These roles are in the Processing Division at a Band 6 level reporting to the Manager Production.
Qualifications:
BSc or BEng Degree (Chemistry, Metallurgy and/or Chemical Engineering)
A Management Development Programme will be advantageous
Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:
At least five years post graduate qualification experience in Refineries
Knowledge of the best utilization/business applications of management and plant processing
Computer skills for role including Business systems e.g. SAP
SHE systems Management
Management systems implementation and maintenance thereof
