    Job Description:

    In this role, you will manage and drive team performance, ensure delivery on key tasks and mitigate risks by ensuring strict controls are in embedded.

    Your daily activities require strong leadership, application of accounting principles, analysis of financial information, preparation of reports, ownership of processes and management of a team comprising 20+ team members.

    You will be responsible for the delivery of high quality, accurate and timely accounts receivables activities, that meet the process requirements as well as expectations of multiple stakeholders across different business units.

    In addition, you will establish and maintain solid business partner relationships with the key stakeholders to facilitate the optimal functioning or your team, adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), managing of escalations and presentation or performance metrics to multiple audiences.

    This role is at a Band 6 level reporting to the EMEA Transactional Finance Services Manager.

    Qualifications:

    You will need the following:

    • A degree specialising in Accounting or Management or at least 15 years relevant management experience

    Experience:

    • Min 10 years solid accounts receivable experience

    • Min 5 years experience managing a team of at least 20 staff

    • Demonstrated leadership in coaching, mentoring leading, and motivating teams

    • Experienced in IFRS/SOX/JSE Attestation

    • At least 5 years experience on SAP ERP system

    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office with Advanced Excel

    • Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on detail

    • Medium to large corporate experience, with Global exposure preferably in a Shared Services environment

    HR Officer Employee Relations SF

    Job Description:

    This is a specialist role that allows you to promote effective Employee Relations practice among employees and the employer. In this role you will ensure that systems, policies and procedures are adhered to.  

    Your responsibilities will include the following:

    • Monitoring the Employee Relations process regularly to ensure conformance to and understanding of standards and procedures by clients

    Plant Production Manager

    Job Description:

    As our Plant Production Manager, your responsibilities will include:

    • Assist Manager Production to develop annual budget for plant sections

    • SHE systems Management

    • Ensure that plant section operates in a safe, predictable and sustainable manner

    • Develop and maintain site specific standards, codes of practices, systems and procedures in accordance with guidelines and the Act

    Senior Specialist Learning From Incidents

    Job Description:

    The role is responsible for providing specialist support in the implementation and execution of Learning from Incidents (LFI) programs and will be supporting Process Operations

     You will be responsible for the following:

    • Implement and monitor group LFI programs for the assigned sites

    • Guarantee accurate and timely reporting of SHE incidents

    • Support/Lead Level 1 to 3 SHE incidents, HPI/HPHs investigations for the site assigned and cross-sites when required by group

    • Monitor LFI KPIs for the assigned site and establish an operating rhythm with key stakeholders

    Qualifications:

    Bachelors / Honors degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (such as sciences, engineering or other related fields)

    Role-specific knowledge:

    • Detailed understanding of Safety, Health and Environment trends and risks.

    • Demonstrated experience in a safety position within a technical environment, including the coordination of knowledge sharing with broader stakeholders.

    • Demonstrated experience working in a safety investigation position at a project, operation or BU level in mining or Oil and Gas Industry.

    Control Systems Analyst

    Job Description:

    What you’ll do

    You will be responsible for ensuring that asset validation process is managed and updated in line with asset tactics development.

    Other responsibilities include:

    • Data integration and master data management ability.

    HME Modelling & Simulation Engineer

    Job Description:

    Join us at our Sishen Mine operations as a HME Engineer as where you will be responsible for the following:  

    • Ensuring the long term HME strategy of the mine is being executed in the operational plan. 
    • Understanding the required HME performance in the business planned reconcile this against the actual performance on a daily basis.  
    • Engaging with operation personnel to understand current improvement initiatives as well as challenges and the impact it will have on the operational planning process. 
    • Engaging with mining engineering team to understand the mine design and waste placement and the impact of the design on HME performance 
    • Understanding the short-term maintenance strategy and the impact thereof on the mining plan. 
    • Taking into consideration the above-mentioned factors, provide mining rates to be used in the mining schedule. 
    • Reconciling planned vs. actual rates on a daily basis.  
    • HME simulation of the operational plan and provide feedback to the schedulers.
    • Optimising processes and use of heavy mining equipment through new and / or improved practices, procedures and methods.
    • Providing mining technical advice and guidance to operations and projects. 
    • Compiling various progress reports for stakeholders.  
    • HME simulation of the operational plan with trucking requirements Stakeholder Relationship Management.  
    • Managing a safe and healthy work environment where workers and contractor can deliver their outputs within a controlled risk environment. 

    This role is in the MTS Department at a Band 6 and will be reporting to the Section Manager: Operational Mine Planning 

    Qualifications:

    • Degree in Mining Engineering or related field 
    • Mine manager’s certificate of competency (MMCC) (advantageous) 
    • Valid certificate of Fitness or be able to obtain one 
    • Valid driver's license and own transport 
    • Computer literacy. Knowledge of Microsoft Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) 

    Experience 

    • Experience with Mine Planning related software like, but not limited to Xecute 
    • OPMS, Microstation, Talpac, Haulsim & Deswik 
    • Knowledge of open pit mining activities

    Mine PIT Design Engineer

    Job Description:

    As our Mine Pit Design Engineer, you will assist with the Life of Mine planning and Reserve Statements by updating the mine designs with the latest information. We rely on your great attention to detail, 3D visualization skills and long-term thinking to produce excellent, cost effective Mine Designs. The following should be taken into consideration when completing the mine designs: latest economic parameters, latest geological information, geotechnical information, mine deployment strategy and latest mining sequences

    In conjunction with the above, you will also be responsible for:

    • Providing guidance to the short-term planning team to ensure there is alignment with the mine design

    • Advising on Haul roads and ramps designs to be used for HME modelling

    • Assisting with additional ad-hoc requirements like permitting, licensings etc.

    • Meeting mining objectives and conform to KIO mining standards, geotechnical and operational physical standards to ensure safe mining operations within legislative guidelines.

    • Ensuring compliance with all relevant legal, environmental, occupational health and safety and risk management standards and best practices.

    This role is in the Technical Services department on a Band 6 and reporting to the Section Manager Long Term Planning

    Qualifications:

    You will be required to have the following:

    • BEng or BTech in Mining Engineering degree

    • 3 to 5 Years Operational experience in Open Cast Mine Planning

    • Experience in developing and completing mine designs to be used for scheduling

    • Great attention to detail and must have 3-dimensional visualization skills – spatial abilities

    • Deswik & Whittle planning software experience would be advantageous

    Shaft Planner D1 (Fix Term Contract)

    Job Description:

    Please note that this is a 12 month Fix Term Contract of Employment. 

    You will be responsible for integrating appropriate information from all relevant mining disciplines in order to design appropriately feasible mine plans including monthly, annually and 5 years (Geology, Survey and Rock Engineering).

    Your additional responsibilities will include: 

    • Make the necessary recommendations regarding the Monthly-, Annual- and 5 year plans and compare actuals with plans, re-plans and recommends shaft remedial actions including consolidation of monthly planning and optimum Mining layouts. 

    • Deliver input into new mine technical systems design / layouts / structures including capital and ad hoc projects. 

    • Take ownership using the Cads mine scheduling software on the shaft.

    • Compile short-term plan in accordance with technical support document  (obtained from the Chief Mine Planner in conjunction with medium term planner) and 5-year plans in conjunction with line management. 

    • Schedule the 1-year and monthly plans with input from line management including new layouts and design for project type work (extensions, new block, new ideas) on Cads mine / Mine 2-4 D. 

    • Analyse KPI’s and highlight potential high risk areas in terms of the development / stoping replacement ratios and Ore reserve availability. 

    • Put controls in place to ensure Production plans are adhered to. 

    This role is in the MRM Department at a Band 6 level reporting to the Mine Planner. 

    Qualifications:

    You must have: 

    • Grade 12 + two years study for non-degree purposes. 

    • Mining qualifications that support the preparation of mine plans such as survey mining or geology.

    • Survey qualification would be advantageous. 

    • Advance Computer skills in terms of MS Office (PowerPoint and Excel) with a strong focus of being advance competent in Excel. 

    • MS Projects, MineCAD and AutoCAD. 

    • Mine design and schedule experience with CADSmine, Microstation or Deswik, Studio 5, Mine 2-4D and Mine RP Planner experience would be advantages. 

    • Mining industry background with at least 6 years’ experience in a similar environment. 

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience required: 

    • Knowledge of Pivots, Data queries and Reporting. 

    • Must have a good understanding of the entire mine value chain. 

    • Sufficient knowledge regarding Ore Reserves and Ore Reserve classifications

    • Suitable legal knowledge for Draughting, Mine Design and Schedule work (DME, Survey, Production and DME plan specifications).

    • Narrow Tabular Reef design and scheduling of UG ore bodies is required (Services or Production).

    • Knowledge of Open Cast / Surface Mining will be advantageous. 

    • Understanding mine planning procedures referring to Sequences, Consequential activities and Mining and logistics interdependencies. 

    • Understanding the following disciplines: Geology, Survey, Rock Engineering, Ventilation/Evaluation.

    Covid 19 

    Since safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines have become widely available this year, we have strongly encouraged employees to get vaccinated at the earliest possible opportunity. However, as vaccines have been proven to be a very effective and safe way of protecting people and reducing Covid-19 transmission, we have now announced our intent to introduce a policy that requires Covid-19 vaccination for access to all sites and offices. This policy would apply to all new joiners to the company as well as existing employees and contractors.

    We are in the process of undertaking a comprehensive engagement process with all our stakeholders about our intent. This is so we can tailor our approach in each country, including ensuring what we do is lawful. Once this is complete, we will look to implement the policy.
