    Job Advert Summary    

    • To deliver a seamless, professional, and welcoming guest experience through efficient luggage handling, safe guest transportation, and exceptional support to the Front Office team. Experience in driving vehicles is a main requisite. 

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent
    • Valid driver’s license (essential)
    • Previous experience in hospitality or guest service environment preferred
    • Good physical fitness (ability to lift and carry luggage)
    • Basic knowledge of health & safety practice

    Duties and Responsibilities    
    Guest Experience & Service

    • Provide a warm and professional welcome to all guests on arrival and departure.
    • Escort guests to rooms and orientate them to lodge facilities and services.
    • Assist with guest requests promptly and courteously at all times.
    • Support the delivery of welcome drinks and towel service where required.
    • Maintain a strong guest-focused approach, ensuring comfort and satisfaction throughout the stay.

    Luggage Handling & Room Assistance

    • Handle guest luggage safely and efficiently during arrivals and departures.
    • Deliver and collect luggage to and from guest rooms.
    • Store luggage securely in the designated luggage room.
    • Conduct room checks on departure to identify any forgotten items.
    • Manage and record lost & found items in line with lodge procedures.

    Transport & Driving Duties

    • Safely transport guests using golf carts or lodge/guest vehicles between reception, rooms, and public areas.
    • Ensure vehicles and carts are clean, well-maintained, and charged/fuelled.
    • Adhere to all safety standards and driving protocols within the reserve.

    Operational Support

    • Maintain daily checklists and ensure all assigned tasks are completed.
    • Assist Front Office Manager / Duty Manager with stock counts and general support duties.
    • Support interdepartmental coordination when rooming guests.
    • Ensure cleanliness and organisation of luggage rooms, equipment, and work areas.

    Teamwork & Communication

    • Maintain clear and effective communication with Front Office and other departments.
    • Work collaboratively to ensure smooth guest flow and operations.
    • Report maintenance issues, guest concerns, or operational challenges promptly.
