    Portfolio Manager Assistant

    Sanlam Private Wealth is part of the Sanlam Investments Group, a leading investment and wealth management business in South Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, Australia and Europe.

    What you will do

    • Equity and Mutual Fund dealing via offshore service providers
    • Monitor trades to ensure settlement thereof
    • FX Conversion dealing via ABSA and RBS
    • Process administration on the above FX conversions via BDA, ABSA Global and Multicurrency
    • BOP Reporting
    • Processing BDA Transactions
    • Monitoring Bank recons
    • Approve ABSA Global transactions on behalf of Junior offshore team
    • Report to branches on administration and trading that have been completed
    • Various queries from Branches and clients
    • Process Corporate Actions on behalf of clients portfolio’s
    • Monthly Invoices and statements to various clients
    • Build sound relationship with internal and external clients
    • General administration
       

    What will make you successful in this role

    • Experience within Private Wealth Industry
    • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Advanced MS Office skills
       

    Qualification And Experience

    • Tertiary qualification (with Finance/ Accounts)
    • Basic understanding of the Private Client business and the stock-broking environment
    • Experience within a financial services industry is essential
    • Experience in a stock-broking environment is essential
       

    Knowledge And Skills

    • Working knowledge of BDA
    • Working knowledge of financial systems
    • Proficient in MS Office
