Principal GIS Technician

• A relevant National diploma in Geo-Information/Informatics or Geomatics Science
• 5 years’ or more experience required within the GIS environment
• Advanced knowledge of ESRI GIS Software (Desktop and geodatabase)
• Computer proficient, knowledge of ESRI GIS Software (Desktop and geodatabase), ESRI GIS Mobile environment, ESRI Web GIS environment
• A valid Code B/EB driver’s licence

Senior GIS Technician

• A relevant National diploma in Geo-Information/Informatics or Geomatics Science
• 3 years’ or more experience required within the GIS environment
• Computer proficient, knowledge of ESRI GIS Software (Desktop and geodatabase), ESRI GIS Mobile environment, ESRI Web GIS environment
• A valid Code B/EB driver’s licence
• Willingness to work in different geographic locations

Key Performance Areas
Principal GIS Technician

• Manage and analyse relevant datasets; Conduct and manage GIS projects for small to medium projects; Establish, categorize and analyse the Municipal Spatial Land assets; Create Geospatial Reports into Property Management GIS Viewer Portal; Research GIS and complementary technologies coupled with specialist knowledge and experience; Coordinate with Corporate GIS implementation of GIS Mobile solution within Property Management; administrative tasks and planning.

Senior GIS Technician

• Co-ordinate and conduct projects; data capturing; Map
• Production; modelling and integration; Reports; Assist with the facilitation of Land acquisition and Reservation Pipeline and the data visualisation and its reporting; provide GIS technical support; conduct complex investigations and administration.

Salary:
Principal GIS Technician

• Basic Salary: R 528 144.00 p.a.

Senior GIS Technician

• Basic Salary: R 478 299.00 p.a
