    Procurement Manager LH PMO- VCI Nutrition

    PROCUREMENT MATERIALS VALUE CHAIN TEAM

    The Procurement Materials Value Chain Team is a newly formed team, serving as the nerve center of the Unilever global procurement organization, enabling the procurement organization to design and deliver step-change across value chains and business models. This team is responsible for:  

    • Sensing, incubating, and enabling innovative ideas, new business models, and transformation programs for disruptive value creation across portfolios.
    • Developing and enabling procurement strategies with respective network VPs and portfolio and market teams based on strategic insights.
    • Facilitating rapid learning, capability development, and future-fit upskilling of our people

    MAIN JOB PURPOSE

    • Value Chain Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analysis of our value chain, including raw materials, manufacturing, distribution, and customer channels.
    • Cost-saving Opportunities: Identify areas of inefficiency, cost drivers, and potential opportunities for improvement. Analyze and quantify the potential savings and develop actionable recommendations.
    • Technology Developments: Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends that can drive efficiency and innovation within the value chain. Evaluate technological advancements and identify opportunities for implementation to enhance supply chain operations.
    • Cost Modelling: Creating cost models for ingredient value chains to support procurement colleagues with negotiations. Deliver analytics and guidance for negotiations and contracting applying expertise to deliver best-in-class solutions.
    • Data Analysis: Utilize analytical tools and techniques to analyze data related to procurement, supplier performance, logistics, and operational metrics. Extract insights and trends to support decision-making and identify improvement areas.
    • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, throughout Procurement, Supply Chain, R&D and Marketing to gain insights into value chain processes and requirements. Engage stakeholders to understand their challenges and align research findings with their needs.
    • Business Case Development: Create business cases for cost saving processes and new business opportunities with clear financial analysis. Deliver presentations to senior stakeholders of the identified opportunities.

    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    • Preferred over 5 years’ experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering or Research and Development roles either in Unilever / FMCG industry or in a large complex organization with strong portfolio and market expertise.
    • Strong business and commercial acumen with a high degree of flexibility and ability to quickly understand new topics.
    • The candidate must have the ability to meet rigorous deadlines, pro-actively resolve issues, and manage stakeholders across various levels of the business with strong communication skills. The role is fit for a self-starter.
    • Ability and drive to work independently and lead diverse cross functional teams, across different geographies.
    • Ability to present complex information in a simplified manner
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and peers effectively
