    Product Owner: Content and Optimisation - Kuilsriver, Cape Town

    • This role will aid driving end-to-end operational efficiencies within Online Commerce for a specific product or system with a focus on Customer conversion rate optimization; analytics and insights. Building our new chat commerce channels ensuring a consistent and delightful Customer experience across all digital touchpoints of the Customer journey.
    • We are looking for someone who has experience as a Product Owner having worked in an agile team and look forward to engaging with you if you meet the requirements.

    Qualifications    
    Essential: 

    • Grade 12, Matric 
    • A bachelor's degree in business, IT, engineering, marketing,?or a related field. 

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience    
    Knowledge required:

    • Understanding of African digital market and customers
    • Knowledge of legal compliance (Protection of Personal Information Act, Electronic Information Act, etc.) 
    • Customer Knowledge on the target users / customer
    • Customer discovery and research 
    • Agile development & execution and an understanding methodologies
    • Data Knowledge, data gathering and analysis, generating insights and execution

    Skills required:

    • Ability to influence and engage across all levels of the business with regards to customer centric product concepts and best practices.
    • Advanced digital product customer development (User Experience edesign, AB Testing etc.)
    • Strong analytics and a sound understanding in digital products- Advanced information technology management. 
    • Technology and design development
    • Stakeholder management 
    • Strong planning and organizing skills 
    • Effective communication skills 
    • The ability to be resilient, innovative, solution-orientated?& team collaboration skills 

    Experience required:
    Essential:

    • Experience and proven success in translating business strategy and analysis into successful consumer products (2 years) 
    • Experience as a product owner in an agile team (2 years)
    • Proven track record of successfully launching new product features (2 years) 

    Preferred:

    • Certified Product Owner, and certified SAFe Product Owner
    • General Marketing retail experience
    • Customer User experience
    • Loyalty experience
    • Analytics / Big Data experience
    • Commercial experience in digital led business development 

    Key Responsibilities    

    • Analyse customer shopping behaviour and gather insights 
    • Draw logical and appropriate conclusions from the available data
    • Map out possible solutions to enhance the Customer’s online journey and increase conversation rate 
    • Provides strategic input to customer experience improvements that help drive customer acquisition, customer retention, and conversion
    • Share proposals with relevant stakeholders 
    • Manage the end-to-end operation plan to execute the enhancements and changes
    • Actively promote and advocate product features and customer-first product designs
    • Drives business requirements and product feature definition for a product to ensure a seamless end-to-end digital customer experience. 
    • Defines, creates and assigns features to specific sprints and releases to meet key business objectives and serving customer expectations
    • Effective cross collaboration ensuring the execution of any changes or enhancements to the online channels.
    • Sets feature prioritisation and ensures appropriate delivery through working directly cross-functional teams

    Effective communication to all relevant stakeholders 

    • Sharing online insights 
    • Proposing new concepts
    • Mapping out the roadmap and timeline for product enhancements 
    • Tracking the progress of the changes and enhancements 
    • Reporting on progress of online conversation rate
