Production Manager at Truworths

Roles & Responsibilities;

• Review Factory production schedule and ensure factory is aligned to produce.
• schedule production across the factory
• Ensure that products are planned are aligned to the manufacturing lines capability
• Ensure the production drives on time and in full customer delivery
• Effectively communicate production concerns and manage expectations with the operation and planning teams.
• Manage internal team to ensure orders are produced on time and in full
• Standardize planning SOP’s within Truworths manufacturing
• Assist work study with technical information such a line balancing and production layouts
• Assist work study in setting up operation targets
• Review production target and put measures in place to meet them.
• Identify areas of improvement
• Be able to problem solve and come up with preventative measures
• Assist with building a culture of problem solving and continuous improvement
• Use standard production reports to form input to continuous improvement
• Constantly communicate delivery status and potential capacity constraints
• Communicate factory performance on a daily basis.
• Identify shifts in product requirements and help draw up training and action plans to create capacity for new product requirements.
•  Example would be a shift in different commodities

Qualifications and Experience:  

Qualification:

• Diploma in clothing management or production management would be advantages

Requirements;

• 10+ years’ experience in production management
• Must have a valid driver’s license and own transport
• Must have managed multiple production lines before.

Competencies;    

• Lean manufacturing experience
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Proficient in excel
