Professional Nurse Grade 1 To 3 (General) (4 Posts)
Minimum educational qualification: Basic R425 qualification (i.e., degree/diploma in nursing) or equivalent that allows registration with the South African Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse and Midwife. Registration with a professional council: Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse and Midwife.
Experience:
Grade 1: None after registration as Professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing.
Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years’ appropriate / recognizable experience after registration as a Professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing.
Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years’ appropriate / recognizable experience after registration as a Professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing. Inherent requirement of the job: Willingness to work overtime, shifts, weekends, public holidays and night duty. Travel if necessary to meet operational requirements.
Willingness to rotate to other wards in the facility.
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Excellent communication with community and other stakeholders’ engagement and facilitation skills, Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies including Health care 2030, Sustainable Development Goals, 1st 1000 days. Excellent planning and organisational skills in Community Health Care, programs and services. Computer literate in Microsoft office programs. Verbal and written communication skills.
