A relevant BTech/Advanced Diploma/Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering.
Registered as a Candidate with ECSA and must achieve professional registration within five (5) years of appointment.
Minimum (4) years’ experience in road maintenance and construction.
Preference will be given to experience in tender and contract administration and management, preferably using GCC2015, COLTO and COTO.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
A valid driver’s license.
Key Performance Areas
Implementing projects, compiling tender documents, and administering contracts in the maintenance, rehabilitation and construction space of roads and ancillary services within a metropolitan municipality (including providing technical input).
Compiling and reviewing reports, standard operating procedures and project templates/spreadsheets.
Obtaining and managing wayleaves and permits of/from/for service authorities and contractors.
Serving on bid specification and evaluation committees.
