• The successful Project Accountant will be an experienced, resilient accounting specialist with a good understanding of general ledger, bookkeeping, and accounting principles. You will enjoy driving change and have a process improvement mindset. You will be inquisitive and able to challenge the status quo with experience in using Finance packages and Excel, good numeracy skills, and excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships is an important aspect of the role.

Qualification

• Accounting degree at NQF level 7
• Completed SAICA articles will be advantageous

Main duties & Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Improvement projects in the finance team with a strong focus on gaining process efficiencies and systems integration in the following areas
• Monthly Management Reports
• Monthly & Annual accounting journals
• Accounts Payable processes
• Accounts Receivable processes
• Treasury & Banking processes
• Annual Audit preparations and finalisation
• Fixed Asset Registers
• VAT reconciliations
• Maintaining files & supporting documents
• Assist the accounting team with monthly processes
• Any ad hoc duties in Finance Department
