Run complex Accounting Services (AS) & Employee Services (ES) transitions and/or projects from design and development stage to implementation and completion stage
Define requirements and plan transition and/or project lifecycle
Document management, including managing systems and tools during project delivery to ensure proper document management
Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning
Demonstrate leadership to define requirements for transition and project risk and allocate appropriate resources
Develop requests for proposals for external services
Communicate with all stakeholders
Manage both the dependencies and the interfaces between transition projects
Manage and report progress and risks to the transition’s and project’s successful outcome
Apply a structured change management approach and methodology for business risks
Identify potential people-side risks and anticipated points of resistance, in line with HR and develop specific plans to mitigate or address the concerns
Conduct transition and/or project readiness assessments, evaluate results and present findings in a logical and easy-to-understand manner
Develop a set of actionable and targeted change management plans – including sponsor roadmap, training plan and resistance management plan
Identify resistance and performance gaps, and work to interface and implement corrective actions using the key stakeholders in the process, for example learning and development, HR, etc.
Work with teams to integrate change management activities into the overall transition and/or project plan
Work with communication, training, HR and OD specialists in the formulation of particular plans and activities to support the transition and/or project
Responsible for the research and development of the change programmes ensuring best fit for the organisation
Support strategic initiatives to ensure quality service delivery, continuous improvement and innovation
Work with Service Management and the Transition and Projects team to establish strategic goals and priorities
Promote GSS to current as well as new businesses to achieve buy in and support
Implement an operating plan for area of responsibility to deliver accurate and high quality budget
Drive compliance to audit findings and ensure quality implementation
Interpret and communicate relevant policies and procedures
Be customer and transition focused/orientated
Lead the transition of outstanding AS & ES processes to GSS
Demonstrate behaviour in line with health, safety and environmental standards and with the Group’s values;
Demonstrate behaviour in line with the Group’s values, standards and a professional workplace
Fully understand all GSS policies, processes and systems which apply to your work;
Qualifications:
Degree level education such as BComm, BusSc, BSc Actuarial Science, Technology or Engineering or related field
Preferably with post graduate qualification (e.g. Honours, CA, CFA or MBA)
PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or equivalent preferred;
MS Project/ SmartSheets;
Post qualification project management and management level experience;
EXPERIENCE
5 + years’ experience in project management, working on large scale and complex initiatives
Experience in the transition of work/activities between BUs;
Good understanding of shared services and service management processes (performance management, service level management, customer surveys, continuous improvement, etc.);
