    QC/Production Team Lead

    About the role

    • In this role, you are responsible for converting materials into work in progress or finished product by formally executing production schedule. Ensuring compliance to SOP’s for process related manufacturing jobs/tasks in the Production Department. 
    • Maintaining product quality and adherence to GMP. Ensuring all relevant Quality and Food Safety are checks are completed and findings are actioned accordingly. 

    Key responsibilities

    • Support the team to convert material into work in progress (WIP) or finished product by formally executing production schedule. 
    • Develop and ensure compliance to SOP’s for process related manufacturing jobs / tasks in the Production Department
    • Maintain product quality and adherence to GMP
    • Support the production team by rectifying / escalating any production issues as they occur
    • Document the issues according to standard operating procedures and report them for further investigation and problem solving.
    • Standard Operating Procedures and complete / receive relevant hand-over documentation / communication to next shift / from previous shift to ensure continuity.
    • Cover essential elements of Group Leader role in the event of unplanned absenteeism
    • Ensure that internal Quality and SHE audits are carried out to verify compliance against defined standards and codes of practice. 
    • Assist with customer / 3rd Party audit process as it relates to factory aspects as required
    • Attention to detail

    Qualifications and skills

    • Completed Diploma or higher in a Food -Science related subject
    • Proficient written, numerical, and verbal skills
    • Proficiency and fluency of English language
    • 2 -3 years’ experience as a Quality Analyst, at least 1 year of which of working at team lead level or equivalent within the manufacturing function
    • Proficient in the use of MS Office tools
