    Quality Analyst - Health Systems

    Key Purpose

    • The Quality Analyst role assists in reducing the risk of introducing defects into production by meticulously running regression testing and interpreting the test outcomes on specific projects before they go live. Also, it is expected of the role to use different tools and techniques in assisting with ensuring that defects introduced in production) are being resolved speedily. The Quality Analyst also monitors the production environment to identify payment delays and errors, reviews production claims to ensure that benefits process in the expected manner, investigate audit related queries and work on basic maintenance tasks in the Claims Processing domain.


    Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to

    •  Analysis, investigation and reporting of presented problem
    •  Ability to identify interim and long term solutions
    •  Produce specification for the proposed solution
    •  Read and interpret specifications
    •  Create and execute test cases
    •  Develop and maintain Developer, Business Analyst and Business interaction / relationships at team and management level
    •  Data and trend analysis
    •  Impact Assessment and prioritization
    •  Process Mapping, evaluation and improvement

    Education and Experience

    •  Relevant 3 year Degree or Diploma or
    •  Minimum of 3 years working experience in dealing with Claims processing systems and operational requirements.
    •  Strong understanding of Discovery Health Claims domain
    •  PL/SQL – writing/running queries (added advantage)
    •  Experience in Health Care industry
    •  MS Office Suite
    •  Advanced Excel
    •  Working experience in an ITIL based environment (added advantage)
