Are you a numerically astute Supply Chain professional looking for the next challenge?

A Client, a leading global FMCG company has an exciting opportunity for a Buyer to be responsible for procuring and managing their Raw Materials portfolio to satisfy the demands of internal and external stakeholders, as well as ensuring the appropriate quantity, quality, value and continuity of supply.

Key responsibilities include:

• Establishing and maintaining good relationships with new and existing local and international vendors so as to develop a replenishment processes that will satisfy manufacturing requirements.
• Determine, develop and implement raw materials in conjunction with R&D and Marketing in order to simplify and improve application flexibility of existing and new raw materials.
• Establish and maintain contractual agreements, where appropriate, with suppliers in order to secure volumes and stabilize price levels for time periods appropriate given the prevailing market conditions.

Applicants must have completed Grade 12 (with Mathematics) and should possess a degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Commerce or equivalent coupled with at least 4 to 6 years Procurement/Buying experience within a manufacturing FMCG company. Advanced Microsoft Excel and strong negotiation skills are required.
