    Regional Operations Leader

    Description

    Develop and provide strategic leadership for CAN (Cargill Animal Nutrition) operations in the MEA region. Key member of the country leadership team with a key role in improvement activities (long and medium-term outlook – up to 4 years) and functional strategy impact.

    Principal Accountabilities

    • Direct accountability for the results of the operation function;
    • Translate global and country strategy into KPIs for the operations teams in the region (includes but not limited to safety, quality, personnel, housekeeping, maintenance, service, quality and costs);
    • Ensure the organization adopts a continuous improvement approach to delivering results;
    • Country leadership team member activities – usually through the IBP process, consultations, new business development; decide on manufacturing footprint choice (“consolidation vs. specialization”);
    • Responsible for the long-term investment strategy implementation;
    • Long term vision – apply solutions for the future needs to guarantee the win on the market;
    • Key advisor on base and non- base capital spending;
    • Lead and initiate all safety efforts cross the organization. Responsible for safety culture deployment;
    • Ensure government regulation compliance for FDA, OSHA, EPA, EEO, DOT, etc.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or other related field or equivalent commensurate experience;
    • 10+ years progressive experience in successful plant management operations;
    • Experience leading leaders, providing coaching, developing talent, and building a high-performance team;
    • Experience and proven success in operation expertise, along with leading strategic projects to impact the business financial results;
    • Experience in fiduciary responsibility, including budgets, expenses, or pricing;
    • Culture awareness and experience of diversity;
    • Must have sense of urgency and entrepreneurial proven track records;
    • Proven ability to effectively collaborate, influence and lead change;
    • Demonstrated ability to perform/deal with ambiguity;
    • Portfolio management and execution;
    • Talent Development and performance management;
    • Mobility to travel 60 – 80%.
