Senior Business Analayst at talentCRU Proprietary Limited

A well-established JSE listed entity is looking for a Senior Business Analyst with experience with Financial Analysis to complete a 12 months fixed term contact

The Incumbent will be responsible for: 

• Review existing operations, processes and procedures and recommend productivity or cost saving initiatives;
• Develop and monitor data quality metrics and ensure business data and reporting needs are met;
• Streamline and improve internal and external reporting;
• Track and assess areas for growth of the business, available capital for the business, and actual cash flow to make optimum utilization of available opportunities;
• Study and research the market trends and analyse the financial information;
• Make suggestions and recommendations based on the analysis, as to what would be the best investment option that would yield more profit margins for the organization;
• Analyse, manage, and reconcile financial reporting and reconciliation;
• Develop and implement plans of action in response to economic trends that may arise by closely monitoring the developments in the economic field;
• Maintain and update all financial data in the form of charts and graphs, etc. to provide relevant information at a glance;
• Study the current economic conditions and evaluate new developing opportunities for investment;
• Provide commentary on year-to-date results in comparison to budgets and forecasts;
• Evaluate previous budgets, expenditures and other areas to develop and implement future budgets;
• Assist with forecasting and budget preparation for revenue and costs;
• Prepare business cases to support new investment, strategic and other business decisions;
• Communicate results and recommendations to management and other stakeholders that would improve the overall business including ways to reduce costs, streamline operations and generate revenue;
• Work with systems to drive efficiency and use process reengineering to improve and upgrade
• systems;

CUSTOMER

• Provide insights to senior management around financial modelling, forecasts and profitability;
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, in alignment with the engagement strategy;

FINANCE 

·       Evaluate previous budgets, expenditures, and operational efficiency together with results of overall financial analysis in order to develop and implement future budgets;

·       Monitor expenditures and profits regularly, ensuring cost effectiveness and making recommendations to management to maximize profits

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

• Financial or business analysis
• Advanced knowledge of financial modelling and business architecture
• Advanced computer software skills, including Excel and other analytical tools
• Knowledge of standard accounting procedures
• Technologically savvy  

Minumum Requirements 

• Bachelor Degree/BTech or equivalent in IT or Finance
• Must have previous experience as a Business Analyst
