Senior Catering Manager - Sandton at Tsebo Solution

• We are currently seeking an experienced and highly professional Senior Catering Manager to lead catering operations for a prestigious corporate client based in Sandton. This role is ideal for a strategic leader who thrives in a high-performance environment and has a passion for service excellence.    

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Lead and manage all catering and hospitality operations on site.
• Deliver consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer service.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders.
• Manage executive dining, boardroom catering, VIP hospitality, and special events.
• Drive financial performance through effective budgeting, cost control, and resource management.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, health and safety, and company standards.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing catering team.
• Monitor operational performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage stock control, procurement, and waste reduction strategies.
• Produce operational and financial reports and ensure achievement of agreed KPIs.
• Need to be able to work in a demanding environment.
• Setting and management of service delivery standards.
• Ensure quality of food preparation, presentation and service is up to standard by meeting all quality star grading standards in all areas of responsibility as per grading checklist.
• Ensure all policies and procedures are complied with Daily HR and IR issues (including training, development & performance management).
• Analyse and pre-empt client needs and possible complaints.
• Process paperwork and compile and understand weekly and monthly P & L.
• Must be able to work long hours and over weekends should there be a need.
• Stay abreast of latest food trends and best practices

Qualifications    

• Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Catering Management, Food Service Management, or a related field.
• HACCP or Food Safety certification will be advantageous.
• Minimum 8-10 years' experience within contract catering, hospitality, or food service operations.
• At least 5 years' experience in a Senior Management position.
• Proven experience managing high-profile corporate clients.
• Experience overseeing executive dining, hospitality services, and large-scale catering operations.
• Strong financial management and commercial experience.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards and HACCP.
• Experience in stock control, budgeting and cost management.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage a high paced catering environment.
