    Security Risk Controller

    Duties & Responsibilities    
    On Site Security

    • Complete a weekly checklist of all irregularities or risks to the employees, building or equipment as per the prescribed document. These issues are checked on a daily basis however checklist sent needs to be sent weekly. This document needs to be sent to the Client Security Manager.
    • Ensure that all client company assets and equipment are secure for example server room, fire sprinkler pump room, generator room, etc.
    • Ensure that building alarm system is in working order and any irregularities are report, e.g. ATS Fail, etc.
    • Oversee on-site security function as per their set out Standard Operating Procedures.

    Reports

    • Ensure that all reports of incidents/occurrences are completed.
    • Ensure that all reports are correct and all recipients are kept up to date.
    • Ensure that all reports are sent timeously and according to deadlines.

    Systems

    • All systems fully operational and discrepancies reported timeously for example, Fire alarm panel is clear of any faults, perimeter electric fence has no faults, etc.
    • Investigations completed timeously and correctly.

    Health & Safety

    • Ensure that OHASA standards are adhered to by employees. Reference to the onsite House Rules Document.
    • Attend to all health and safety issues of the employees and report it to the Plant Manager & client security Manager.

    Security Staff

    • Ensure that all staff that are part of Thorburn are full complement and presentable for work.
    • Ensure training is provided to all on-site security staff as per site SOP and inducted by Thorburn Security Management.
    • Ensure that they follow client Procedures and Policies.
    • Ensure that they are familiar with all alarm signals and how to respond it.

    Alarm activations

    • Respond to all alarm activations timeously.
    • Ensure that the correct procedures are followed in the event of an alarm activation.

    Queries

    • All queries are attend to timeously.

    Testing

    • Ensure that the testing procedures are followed for.
    • Fire break glass unit using the reset key.
    • Intrusion alarm by testing all fire escapes.
    • Ensure the evacuation system triggers at appropriate times.
    • Generator & Fire Sprinkler System.
    • Ensure thattesting is completed regularly and recorded as specified.

    Administration

    • All administrative duties are completed timeously and correctly.

    Skills and Competencies

    Hostess

    • Fedics is in search for a Wardhostess who works individually on patient wards. The hostess will serve breakfast, lunch, supper and snacks in a very busy, fast paced environment. 

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Serve patients with tea/coffee and alternative snacks
