Storeperson (B&I) at Tsebo Solution

• We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Storekeeper to join our Business & Industry (B&I) Catering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective receipt, storage, control, and distribution of stock to support seamless catering operations and service excellence within a corporate environment.

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Receive, inspect, and verify goods delivered against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Ensure accurate storage of food, beverage, cleaning, and operational supplies.
• Maintain stock control systems and ensure inventory records are updated accurately.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts and reconcile variances.
• Issue stock to kitchen and service teams as required.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment requirements timeously.
• Apply FIFO (First-In, First-Out) stock rotation practices.
• Ensure storerooms, fridges, and freezers are maintained in a clean, orderly, and food-safe condition.
• Assist with ordering, stock forecasting, and cost control initiatives.
• Adhere to company policies, food safety standards, and health and safety regulations.

Skills and Competencies    

• Sound knowledge of stock control principles and inventory management.
• Experience working with food and consumable stock.
• Computer literacy, including MS Office and stock management systems.
• Good numerical and administrative skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Physically fit and capable of handling stock movements where required.

Qualifications    

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a Storekeeper, Stock Controller, or Stores-related role within catering, hospitality, retail, or food service environments.
