Senior Consultant Sustainability (Climate Change) at Old Mutual

Job Description

The role is responsible for analysing, monitoring and reporting on the Old Mutual Climate Change Programme.

KEY RESULT AREAS

Operational Delivery

• Track and support in the development of performance parameters and measurement for sustainability reporting.
• Monitor and report OM’S operational carbon and environmental footprint for internal and external reporting.
• Source data from all sources and report on the impact goals indicators, metrics, and targets.
• Build and maintain a library of information for current and future sustainability application.
• Monitor deliverables of the climate change programme’s workstream.
• Support the provision of impact assurance to all required stakeholders by assisting with the compilation and generation of reports. Ensuring the data and information generated is audit ready.
• Support in the collation and assure reports that meet the Climate Change disclosure requirements, as well as regulatory and legal requirements.
• Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships to ensure that activities conducted in the climate programme are in good standing with current best practice
• Seek opportunities to improve business processes and systems by identifying and recommending effective ways to operate and add value to Old Mutual
• Support the dissemination of questionnaires, ratings, and evaluations to external monitoring bodies.
• Support enterprise-wide initiatives when required that support the sustainability strategy, implementation, or opportunity assessment.
• Support the production of sustainability based internal communications in support of impact goals, responsible business causal pathway owners and Sustainability Managers and Executives.

Finance and Governance

• Understand, interpret, and implement COE specific compliance requirements within GMPAS delivery
• Support reporting of financial and non-financial data in line with workstream requirements.

Role Requirements

• Relevant degree or qualification
• Sound experience in data analytics and reporting essential
• Knowledge of Sustainability practices

The appointment will be made from the designated group in line with the Employment Equity Plan of Old Mutual South Africa and the specific business unit.
