Senior Engineering Manager (.Net) at Sporting Solutions

Role Overview

• As a member of the technical management team, you will draw upon your exemplary software development management, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with a passion for creating reliable and maintainable solutions. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including Product Managers, Project Managers, Business Analysts, and members of the Technology team. • The successful candidate will drive continuous process improvement and collaborate effectively with all members of the product and software development teams tsolve problems and deliver the team's KPIs and outputs.

Role Specifics

Playing a key part of our team, you can expect to:

• Responsible for organisation of your teams
• Manage and allocate resources for each project and each team
• Define responsibilities within the teams (Scrum Master, Tech Lead, Developers)
• Responsible for the roadmap
• Review project backlogs / timelines with BAs, PMs and Program Managers
• Build and maintain the roadmap from the project backlogs
• Responsible for the team’s output
• Monitor the technical direction (making sure it follows the architecture guidelines) and the quality of the delivery
• Monitor the teams' output (providing adequate KPIs) including documentation management
• Define and plan the internal releases, including all aspects of delivery
• Monitor overall output vs roadmap

What we are looking for

• Experience with professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations
• Good knowledge of the .NET development ecosystem and best practices (.NET Core, .NET Framework, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Postgres, Mongo, Aerospike, etc.)
• Proven experience in a technical management role i.e. managing local and remote technical software development teams and third-party vendors
• Proven experience in delivering large scale technical programs including scoping, timeline creation, project tracking, risk management, and process improvement.
• Able tdive intsystem design/architecture challenge proposed solutions and contribute talternatives with external support from architects and specific expertise
• Up tdate knowledge of best practices applied throughout the software industry
• Excellent verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills, especially high ability tcommunicate effectively across cross functional teams and in the context of corporate meetings
• Good knowledge of people management and especially performance evaluation and change management principles
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, outstanding leadership, organizational and communication skills
• Experience of the online gaming industry and sports betting would be a plus
