Senior Financial Accountant | Climate Fund Managers at Southern African Venture Capital & Private Equity Association (SAVCA)

The main focus of this role is to partner with the business in ensuring that all financial reporting is delivered accurately, on time, and in accordance with company requirements and accounting standards. This position provides exposure to the full accounting spectrum including tax and treasury. The secondary focus is to lead and direct a small team to ensure submissions and reporting are met on time, and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and execute financial tasks and projects
• Manage the CFM finance team members
• Manage audit engagement to meet reporting obligations
• Prepare budgets and forecasts
• Manage treasury
• Manage direct and indirect tax reporting
• Implement processes for new accounting standards

Qualifications & Experience

• CA(SA) qualification or similar
• Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and Adobe PDF
• Strong knowledge of complex accounting standards
• Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail with superb organisational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• People management experience
• Excellent report-writing and communication skills
• Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office, and other financial software
• Experience within a financial services industry is a distinct advantage
