Senior Lead Developer (Back-end PHP)

We are a leading advertising agency looking for passionate Software Developer (PHP), that is excited about building exceptional web & mobile applications.

You will require a minimum of 7 years experience in managing web development projects with solid experience in PHP, Laravel, MySQL, JavaScript, GIT (or similar), Docker, APIs, Drupal.

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain different work processes for the different development teams
• Create documentation for development work
• Work closely with Client Service & Production teams to ensure that the jobs required can be completed on spec and on time
• Plan development specs for jobs so that they are future proof according to the clients environments
• Work closely with front-end developers to ensure an effective, visually appealing, functional, and intuitive implementation
• Keep up to date with the technologies that the clients used and ensure that the team can work across the multiple versions of the platforms used
• Review all development work to ensure it has been built according to the designs and architecture plan
• Managing all technical aspects of a Drupal CMS
• Ensure that the software is maintainable, scalable, secure and of a high quality
• Assist with estimations of work
• Able to manage an end-to-end code release process
• Mentor junior developers
• Find new and innovative technologies to improve the quality and digital standards of product delivery to clients

Technical Experience

The ideal candidate would have the following technical experience:

• Develop software according to best practice standards and methodologies
• Strong background in PHP, MySQL and JavaScript
• Strong Laravel skills
• Understanding of SOAP
• Ability to build, extend, and configure Drupal sites using core and Contrib modules (Views, Paragraphs, Webforms)
• Experience developing web solutions in Drupal and PHP implementations in a LAMP environment
• Utilisation/development of APIs and RESTful web services
• Thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (e.g. Requirements, Design, Development, Testing)
• Experience using version control such as GIT
• CI/CD Pipelines
• Experience working with a Linux environment
• Experience working with Docker advantageous
