Senior Maintenance Planner - UG at Tharisa

Purpose of Role

• To effectively lead and coordinate the planning, scheduling, and optimization of all underground maintenance activities to ensure maximum equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and compliance with safety standards. The Underground Senior Maintenance Planner will leverage technical expertise, planning tools, and cross-functional collaboration to minimize downtime, extend asset life, and support continuous improvement in underground mining operations.

Minimum Requirements (Senior Maintenance Planner – UG):

Qualifications:

• Grade 12
• Recognised systems analysis / IT related qualification, equivalent to 2 years’ study.
• NQF Level 4 Technical Maintenance Certificate (i.e. Asset Management) 

Job specific experience:

• Minimum Five years Engineering experience as Maintenance Specialist in a mining environment
• At least 5–7 years of maintenance planning experience, with significant exposure to underground mining environments.
