    Senior Manager - Marketing Analytics Group Marketing

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • The SM: Marketing Analytics will be accountable for the following:
    • Design and develop the data technology infrastructure to support the business’ marketing reporting requirements
    • Build, maintaining and update reporting dashboards 
    • Data repositories (data lakes) and automated insights generation center
    • Brief internal teams to integrate any account specific data sources into a stable and extensible pipeline
    • Identify and onboard new datasets & capabilities to elevate the MTN marketing analytics capability
    • Create measurement models to provide a regularly updated view of return-on-marketing-investment, and use these models support the business cases for specific marketing requirements
    • Support annual brand and business planning efforts
    • Be a trusted, strategic advisor to commercial business units, helping them turn their business ambition into an actionable, medium term transformation agenda.
    • Drive campaign measurement plans, in-campaign optimization enablement and post-campaign analysis to elevate marketing effectiveness. 
    • Define how we will calculate the ROI of campaigns or activity using tools, historic learnings, and benchmarks. 
    • Develop the processes to ensure that in-campaign learnings reach activation teams and are used to inform optimization decisions.
    • Generate insightful post-campaign analysis that helps advance our marketing effectiveness and efficiency, and improve future ROI.
    • Build the vision for the marketing technology stack that will be used to house, anlayse, visualise and activate MTN first-party and other data for digital marketing campaigns (DMP, CDP etc.)
    • Create the necessary mechanisms to ensure efficient sharing of learnings directly from the Opcos in a manner that allows easy adoption of demonstrated best practice
    • Delivery of the above through a combination of off-the-shelf A&I products as well as innovative, ad hoc projects.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education:

    • Minimum of 4-year tertiary Business/Commercial/Marketing Degree
    • Post-graduate degree; Masters an advantage
    • Relevant data, analytics, measurement certifications an advantage

    Experience:

    • 5 - 8 years of relevant work experience in a global / multinational business environment (understanding of emerging markets advantageous)
    • 3 - 5 years of experience in a supervisory / managerial role in data analytics or business intelligence
    • Experience in leading change / transformation (marketing) at an operational level advantageous

    • Experience using Business Intelligence tools for data visualization, reporting, and analysis, as well as knowledge of maintaining and automating these tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
