    Senior Manager Visa Consulting & Analytics

    Principal Responsibilities and Key Results Area

    • As a Senior Manager with Visa Consulting and Analytics you will support Visa’s clients in expanding their payments businesses. Most of your work will be on topics of payments business growth, card portfolio performance optimization, digital payments optimisation and customer engagement.    

    Principal Responsibilities/Key Results Area

    • Drive VCA engagements and business development
    • Identify opportunities for Consulting assignments with Visa Clients
    • Develop engagement pitches and in coordination with Account Executives secure new Consulting assignments with clients
    • Deliver consulting engagements, including managing team of consultants, resolving complex strategic problems, managing teams of consultants, synthesize recommendations, preparing and delivering client presentations, managing complex project structures
    • Work closely with other VISA groups, including Product, Marketing etc., to ensure a seamless client Consulting experience
    • Liaise with VISA functional teams (Finance, Audit, Legal, Tax, Sourcing) to define and implement processes to optimize the daily engagement of vendors and the relationships with clients

    Develop and scale VCA offering, including:

    • Leverage own experience and experience of the wider VCA and Visa team to develop and improve VCA offering
    • Work closely with global experts within and outside Visa bringing in global expertise into the region
    • Grow network of partners in the region and globally and leverage them to enrich Visa offering
    • Develop Visa Consulting & Analytics thought leadership material

    Key Competencies

    • A well-qualified candidate will have broad and deep expertise in Payments Consulting across multiple areas of focus. Key elements to assess his or her candidacy will include expertise on the following topics,
    • Business needs of issuers, acquirers and merchants in Portfolio, Digital, and Risk e.g., strategy, acquisition, customers and channels full potential, innovation, mobile platforms, digital ecosystems, authorization etc.
    • Best practices to meet customer needs across the customer lifecycle stages (acquisition, activation, usage, reactivation and retention)
    • Industry trends, such as evolving economics of payments, new customer value propositions, increasing digitalization and development of digital channels, increasing use of advanced analytics and other technologies in payments and targeting, changing regulatory environment, etc.
    • This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

    Qualifications

    • Basic Qualification
    • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least
    • 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or
    • 2 years of work experience with a PhD

    Preferred Qualification

    • Bachelors degree or equivalent. Masters degree preferred
    • At least 10 years of overall work experience
    • Consulting experience gained within either a strategy house, a Big 4 firm, or an in-house strategy function of a financial institution is a plus
    • Combination of regional (SSA) and global experience is also desired
    • Able to travel frequently and work on client site
    • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with inter-disciplinary groups
    • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
    • Hands on experience in managing payment and/or card business with financial institution is a plus
    • Experience in managing and driving performance of geographically distributed teams is a strong plus

    • Self-motivated and able to use own initiative with limited direction
    • Strong structuring and problem-solving skills.
    • Credibility with clients and working teams and diplomatic skills to extract desired outcomes.

    • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
    • Relationship management skills – should be able to manage internal and
    • external stakeholders at senior levels
    • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
    • Superior project management skills
    • Expertise in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint to develop superb client presentations
    • Results driven, flexible and both internally and externally customer focused
