    Senior Payroll Specialist

    JOB BRIEF 

    Provide a professional consulting service to our clients, ensuring an accurate payroll service is always delivered. Meet agreed SLA’s and ensure delivery of an excellent ‘customer service’.The incumbent must possess thorough understanding of payroll regulations and practices as well as excellent mathematical, communication, multi-tasking and organizational skills.

    Knowledge and experiance in the Business Process Outsorcing (BPO) industry will be advantageous.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for all aspects of payroll administration, including preparation, documentation and disbursement of all payroll cheques / transfers.
    • Client Support/ Client Servicing
    • Responsible for the reconciliation and payment of third-party payments.
    • Liaising with third party payments.
    • Responsible for payroll month end and tax year end administration.
    • Responsible for ensuring all outstanding debtors in respect of payroll portfolio are collected.
    • Establish the full payroll function for multiple clients.
    • Manage payroll package structures including increases and bonuses.
    • Ensure input is received timeously each month.
    • Manage multiple payrolls.
    • Ensure payslips and invoices are issued timeously.
    • Obtaining SARS directives, when applicable.
    • Ensuring that UIF submissions are made.
    • Manage all Third-party schedules and ensure payments are done if required.
    • Supurvise and train junior staff members.
    • Responsible for client satisfaction and client retention.
    • Handling administration and payroll queries.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Matric + VIP Certification
    • Diploma in Payroll Administration, Business Administration, Human Resources or related field
    • 4+ years of payroll experience
    • Outsourcing Experience (added advantage)

    • Good understanding on the application of PAYE principles
    • Must be able to resolve PAYE queries on payslip
    • Solid knowledge and understanding of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act
    • Ability to prove calculations on the payslip
    • VIP / PaySpace / SAGE 300 payroll software experience
    • Microsoft word, Excel advanced experience
