Proven experience in undertaking socio-economic Cost Benefit Analysis (and related techniques) and macroeconomic impact assessment

Key Performance Areas
Analyse macroeconomic trends and communicate the implications of these trends for Cape Town’s economy and the City’s strategies
Contribute to the development of economic information products that will inform decision making in the City
Contribute to scenario modelling and the development of economic forecasts for the City for use in long-term plans and spatial modelling
Write in-depth economic research reports/papers and contribute to the development of strategies and policies
Apply specialised economic appraisal techniques, including CBA; CE, MCDA, to key CCT projects and policies.
Interpret the outcomes of CBA’s and impact modelling and effectively communicate their outcomes and any consequential recommendations to inform decision-making processes
Assist with the economic prioritisation of infrastructure projects and contribute to the City’s stage gate (project preparation) process
Provide expert economic advisory services to line departments, particularly at a project level
