    Senior Project Quality Coordinator - CAP002Z

    PRIMARY OBJECTIVES

    Project Execution

    • Assuring that the Quality assurance and Quality control requirements during the construction phase of the project are met.
    • Developing and maintaining a Construction Quality Management Plan
    • Developing procedures, guidelines, forms referenced in the Construction Quality Management Plan (as appropriate).
    • Reviewing and approving Construction Subcontractor Project Quality plans, support Quality Inspectors/Discipline Supervisors and Engineers in the reviewing and approval of ITPs and other Quality related submittals.
    • Support Quality Control Inspectors/Discipline Supervisors and Engineers in the reviewing and approval of Method Statements.
    • Identifying and implementing Quality indoctrination and training requirements to ensure personnel have sufficient understanding of the requirements of the project and Procedures to achieve project objectives.
    • Performing scheduled assessments of Construction Subcontractor activities and lower-tier Construction Subcontractors against their approved Quality Plan, Procedures and ITPs based on their work scope.
    • Coordinate the witnessing and signing for acceptance of all on-site construction installation and testing.
    • Ensure that contractors include and maintain the record set of acceptance tests, conformance certificates and approved ITPs and testing Procedures in their applicable data books.
    • Identifying nonconforming conditions and notifying the Project Manager and Construction Manager of situations that justify the issue of a non-conformance report and/or stopping work.
    • Taking the lead role in the issuance of Site-based Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), following any issued NCR to closure, and maintaining a log of NCRs and as required corrective action. Effectively close all Non-Conformance within agreed due dates.
    • Holding weekly Quality meetings with the Construction Subcontractor Quality representative to identify and address potential Quality-related project risks.
    • Provided oversight on Quality activities of the Construction Subcontractor and documented completed Quality surveillance of the Construction Subcontractor’s work by their approved Project Quality Plan, approved ITPs, and Procedures.
    • Supervising any Worley direct-hire third-party inspection or testing agencies.
    • Identifying, developing, and reviewing Quality records required for turnover.
    • Preparing a weekly/monthly report to management summarizing site Quality activities, concerns, and project Quality statistics for the period.
    • Verifying (By Tracking) of site-based Quality objectives and KPI’s ensuring that they are met.
    • Preparing project Quality close-out report.
    • Completing Customer Feedback report.
    • Responsible for personal safety safe working practices. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
    • Promoting health, safety, and environmental awareness

    Project Deliverable

    • Responsible for implementation and reporting of, operation and maintenance of Quality Management System on site during Construction phase.
    • Responsible for Site Quality Management System compliance and system improvement activities.
    • Effective implementation of non-conformance, corrective action, and preventive action management processes.
    • Development and maintenance of Site Project Assurance Plan and Accountable for the overall performance of the audit program.
    •  Ensure timely follow-up of Contractor failure, corrective actions, and preventive actions. Support departmental and project-specific risk management through identification of risks, implementation of mitigation plans.
    • Accountable for site-based Project Quality KPI monitoring and reporting of, leading and lagging indicators.
    • Attend and provide quality requirement clarifications/input to all Contractor Kick off Meetings and Project Coordination meetings.
    • Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the Site quality system such as Root cause analysis, Five Why, etc.
    • Verify that review of quality documents is complete and in compliance with the contract documents.

    Site Support

    • Responsible for relevant QA training for all site personnel as per Quality Plan Procedures.
    • Provide the required support to the Construction Manager to achieve the handover of the applicable installation data pack.

    Job Specific Knowledge:

    • Thorough understanding of the principles and practice of Quality Management and the implementation and improvement of management systems.
    • Has a good understanding of ECR engineering practices.
    • Experience in EPCM projects construction completion and handover of Multi Discipline work packages. ECR Experience would be advantageous.
    • Effective technical and practical engineering skills, and able to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its clients.
    • Sound technical knowledge in materials, welding, coating/painting, NDE inspection and general construction activities within ECR industry. Supporting Standards Knowledge of AWS D1.1 M, ASME B31.3, ASME IX and V.
    • A thorough knowledge of the regulations, codes, and standards (ISO, SANS, AWS D1.1 M, ASME and other International Codes, Standards and Specifications).
    • Demonstrate a visible and active commitment to HSE management and its associated requirements in a project environment.

    Industry Specific Experience:

    • Minimum of 7-year experience as a Senior QC Inspector on a Major (ECR experience would be advantages)
    • Proven track record in Multidisciplinary construction and handover. (Require References)
    • Personnel shall have the specified minimum project experience in process plants, mainly Oil & Gas or petrochemicals, and shall be knowledgeable of the applicable Engineering codes and standards.
    • Experience with ECR construction and handover knowledge including interfacing with other disciplines/discipline supervisors, i.e., Civil/Structural, Mechanical/Piping, Electrical and Controls and Instrumentation

    Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training

    • Full-Time bachelor’s degree in mechanical or civil or relevant Engineering from an accredited university will be advantages.
    • Certified Level 2 Welding Inspectors
    • Non-destructive examination competency will be advantages.
    • ISO3834 (Quality Requirements for fusion Welding of metallic materials)
