Senior Superintendent (Water Distribution-South) at Nelson Mandela Bay Metro

Qualifications and experience required:

• Trade-tested artisan or technical/professional qualification.
• Computer literacy.
• Code EB driver’s licence.
• Five years’ or more experience in supervisory technical position required.
• May require a three years’ experience qualification in an Engineering field in larger municipalities.

Job purpose:

• Controlling and coordinating the operations functions associated with the Water Distribution Division through the implementation of procedures, applications, systems and controls, identifying the need for additional trunk and/or reticulation water mains, planning repairs and maintenance services to existing trunk and reticulation water mains/reservoirs, performing specific administrative functions. Establishing resource requirements, evaluating queries/complaints, solutions and outcomes, monitoring and attending to deviations in productivity.
• As part of the selection process, candidates may be tested on any requirement, skill or competency, which will include pre-employment screening, medical examination, security vetting and psychometric assessment.
