Service Technician (Analyzer) - Modderfontein at ABB

Job Summary 

You will be working as Service Technician (Analyzer) and will be part of Process Automation business Area for Measurement & Analytics division based in Modderfontein, South Africa. In this role you will be reporting to Service Manager and will be responsible for executing service work according to agreed workflows and in accordance with ABB standard processes and safety guidelines. Delivering excellent customer service to satisfy customers.

Your responsibilities

• Performing service tasks, identifying technical problems and making analysis through remote or on-site activity in any service categories
• Contributing to customer satisfaction by executing service work according to customer order and expectation
• Creating and maintaining a good relationship with customers and understanding their needs
• Proactively identifying potential equipment failures and requests proactive corrective actions
• Troubleshooting equipment failure and making recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future
• Applying safety rules and safe practices as well as environmental responsibilities

Your background

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Process Automation or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of experience in continuous Gas Analyzers, Gas Chromatograph Analyzers and Instrumentation
• Knowledge of customer products, applications and processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Preference will be given to Employment Equity candidate
