    Excitation Sales Specialist - Electrical - Modderfontein

    Job Summary

    You will be working as Excitation Sales Specialist and will be part of Process Automation business area for Energy Industries division based in Longmeadow, South Africa. In this role you will be reporting to Sales Manager and will be responsible for planning and ensuring implementation of excitation strategy, to achieve both qualitative and quantitative targets for systems, products and services in a profitable way, leading the sales organization of excitation business in allocated region proactively, to exceed the sales targets through high performance in order to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction

    Your responsibilities

    • Owning and managing the ABB EXC Install Base, assuring the database cleanup, alignment and update, identifying the excitation white spot and business potential

    • Your Main Accountabilities
    • Budget:
    • Proposes and manages the annual warehouse budget. Operates within approved budget. Optimizes resources and determines actions to address cost issues. In case of third-party logistics (3PL) set-up, monitors warehousing costs and implement costs productivity initiatives.
    • Collaborative Operations Management:
    • Liaise with the 3PL partner to oversee day-to-day warehouse activities, ensuring adherence to agreed-upon service level agreements (SLAs).

    • Assisting planning during unavailable time to update planning schedule, following up with suppliers and buyers on material ordered, releasing projects to production after confirmation that 95% of material is available, preparing RFQ’s to meet contractual requirements and providing technical evaluation of supplier proposals
    • Collaborating with the Supply Chain function and the Project Manager (s), together with supply chain lead cost savings projects, coordinating with manufacturing and testing function to ensure the designs are appropriately manufactured / staged and tested, ensuring the engineering deliverables as built are updated
    • Ensuring all design process documentation is complete during the manufacturing stage and after completion, coordinating with commissioning / service functions to ensure the designs are appropriately installed and commissioned (if applicable as part of the contract), ensuring the engineering deliverables are updated post installation and commissioning
