Snr Specialist: ERM and Compliance at Openserve

Core Description

• Accountable fro the development, co-ordination, implementation of and facilitation of the Enterprise Risk Management and compliance plan across the Openserve organization. Provide an Enterprise Risk Management & Business Continuity Management methodology for Openserve and process for effective compliance assurance within the BU. The key focus for ERM/ BCM is to identify external and internal risks and evaluate the likely effect of these risks on the business. To then introduce measures to mitigate the risks and to evaluate the success of these measures. This also includes integrating ERM processes within the strategy setting of Openserve and its divisions where appropriate. The key focus of the Compliance plan is the execution and reporting on Compliances and internal audit engagements/ findings to deliver on agreed objectives in accordance with compliance and audit services standards and methodology.

Job Responsibilities
Develop and Implement the Enterprise Risk Management Strategy and Operational plans

• Implement and maintain a strategically focused and effective ERM system and processes
• Support the establishment of a framework for risk management, which involves proper governance structures where particular events or circumstances identied relevant to Openserve is reported on with mitigating or contingency plans;
• Create and maintain a conducive legislative environment aligned with relevant legal requirements and acts to ensure implementation of internal controls for compliance purposes
• Ensure that proper insurance coverage of the organisation is in place
• Review and report on Operational Quality Assurance - verifies operational output is within tolerances
• Apply a risk based approach to financial reporting
• Create and document unified business continuity (BCM) and disaster recovery strategies, plans, processes and procedures
• Build Strategic Relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Risk reporting in an appropriate way for different audiences from operational to top management staff
• Support investor communications
• Develop project risk management capabilities within the organization; ensure project compliances;
• Ensure alignment with Group risk/ compliance requirements and structures; provide the secretariat for the Openserve Risk forum(s) Develop and implement the Internal Compliances/ Audit Management strategy and operational plans
• Lead internal resources for compliance/ audit projects and coordinate cooperation with external resources if required
• Establish Electronic Audit Reporting work and commitment to additional areas of reliance
• Provide assurance on the adequacy and effectiveness of risk management, control of governance systems
• Report fraud and assist investigation
• Ensure value adding and improving of the company operations
• Accountable to implement, execute and report on the compliance/ audit plan & progress on agreed management actions, on an ongoing basis
• Coordinate other compliance/ ssurance activities within the Group, e.g. Revenue Assurance, Data Governance in so far as it may be applicable to Openserve Leadership of own team
• Provide team leadership by providing targets and measures for productivity and increased revenue flow
• Establish an enabling work environment and culture for optimum staff performance
• Drive EE/ AA/ Diversity targets for own functional team

Education

• NQF 6: 3 year Diploma/ National Diploma

Experience

• 7 Years relevant experience, of which at least 2 years on management level
