Supervisor: Service at Weir Minerals

Purpose of Role:

• To ensure uninterrupted service delivery to our customers and maintain proper control of the service workflow from receiving to dispatching, making sure all procedures are followed consistently.

Key Responsibilities:

• This role requires specialized expertise in diagnosing and repairing high-capacity slurry pumps. A qualified supervisor ensures that repairs meet OEM standards, reducing the risk of repeat failures and extending equipment lifespan.
• Planning and managing service workflow from receiving to dispatch, distributing work accordingly to available staff.
• Ensuring all repairs meet OEM standards and sign-off projects.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

• Grade 12 (Matric), N4 certificate in Mechanical Engineering.
• Qualified Fitter / Millwright (Verified Section 13 / 26D qualification).
• Valid driver’s license.
• 5 years’ related experience in an engineering/mining environment (Workshop experience advantageous) and 2 years’ supervisory or management experience.
• Sound knowledge of slurry pumps (Assembling, Repairs and Maintenance).
