Duxbury Networking is looking to fulfill a position in Johannesburg for a support Engineer based in the Duxbury Cape office.
The Candidate should have intimate knowledge of Milestone XProtect, Axis communications, and Hanwha Tecwhin product offerings. Further knowledge of Licence Plate and Facial recognition as well as a general understanding of Access control, Fire detection, and Intrusion detection will be of great help.
The candidate should be able to install and configure a full Milestone Multiserver High Complexity system with Multiple integrations into various 3rd party systems. The candidate should have a natural inclination to the installation of high complexity software platforms – have a vast knowledge of servers and related hardware. The candidate should also be able to design a network suited to video surveillance requirements (Understanding of Multicast, IGMP, PIM).
The support engineer will be customer-centric and understand the complexities of surveillance projects in the market.
Responsibilities will include:
Provide pre and post-sales technical support to current clients as well as prospective clients
Provide support to the sales teams to help drive the technical review and decisions throughout the life cycle of sales as well as internal deal acceptance
Be a strong technical contributor who understands the impact and influence of the customer’s bottom line
Be a trusted advisor at all levels within an account or consultant
Provide system designs on complex surveillance solutions
Be creative in an approach to provide a technical solution for real-world problems
Engaging with large to medium size system integrators as well as consulting engineers on request
Be proactive in building relationships with technical decision-makers within consulting engineering firms and large integrators.
Propose and professionally demonstrate the Duxbury surveillance product set
Implement proof concept setup understanding all the different functionalities available that need to be implemented.
Be able to drive a demo system and explain the technical advantages of a solution.
Responsible for demo products and milestone demo system in Cape Town
Have a strong relationship with sales engineers at vendors
