Tactical Officers at Servest SA

Job Context    

• Servest Security is seeking Tactical Officers with Grade B PSIRA Certificates. The The role of a Tactical Officer is to provide specialized security support in high-risk situations and ensure the protection of people, property, and assets through rapid response and tactical operations. The position is based in Secunda.

Minimum Requirements    

• Matric (Grade 12) or Grade 10 or 11 with 5 years’ experience
• 2-5 Years experience as a Tactical Officer in a security environment
• Valid Grade B PSIRA Certificate
• Completed NKP Qualification will be an advantage
• Firearm competency for business purpose (Handgun, Shotgun and Riffle)
• Regulation 21 business purpose (Handgun, Shotgun and Riffle)
• Defensive driving (Advantageous)
• Formal crowd control training and Offroad training would be an advantage
• Underground mining experience
• Armed response service experience and certificate 
• No criminal record (SAPS clearance)
• Valid driver’s licence 
• Must reside in Secunda area

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Responding to high-risk incidents, alarms, and emergency situations.
• Conducting tactical patrols and security operations.
• Escorting high-value assets, cash, or VIP personnel when required.
• Preventing criminal activities such as theft, robbery, and vandalism.
• Handling firearms and tactical equipment in accordance with legal and company procedures.
• Assisting with arrests and detaining suspects when necessary.
• Monitoring and assessing security threats and risks.
• Supporting site security teams during incidents or unrest.
• Completing incident reports and maintaining accurate records.
