We are seeking a Technical Analyst who has extensive experience developing and supporting technical solutions. The successful candidate will be based in Randburg, Johannesburg and will be accountable for ensuring that the client’s problem domain and associated integration data are understood, and that the system integration addresses those needs. Key requirements of the role will be the provision of support in installation, deployment and troubleshooting of the technical solution; develop and maintain the monitoring and alerting configuration of the system. We are looking for a candidate who is a top performer, client-centric and results-oriented with a proven history of successfully delivering on large scale technology projects whilst overcoming major technical challenges. This position requires flexible working hours given the nature of service and due to multiple time zones.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. (Other duties may be assigned).

• Install, configure, and maintain ICX software and system management tools
• Manage and monitor installed systems.
• Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems availability
• Monitor application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with operations and development teams to understand improvement, new feature and enhancement requirements for the monitoring development teams to implement.
• Use monitoring tools, such as Kibana, Elastic, MetricBeats, Splunk to oversee systems operation.
• Running daily maintenance checks.
• Maintain monitoring logs and reports concerning the system operation
• Manage unscheduled services and emergency response
• Able to create charts and system status reports.
• Create and maintain Dashboard pertinent to this service
• Overtime/on-call will be required with notice.
• Perform other tasks as business needs require or as assigned by management
• Monthly reporting of system performance and SLA compliance

General
Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) from a college or university
• Experience working for a multi-national company, or for a top/large company in the industry would be advantageous. Consulting and client-facing experience
• Experience in implementing ERPs, Billing, CRM or mission critical systems, preferably large solutions with a wide variety of integrated applications
• A self-driven approach that takes responsibility for quality deliverables, ensuring accuracy and completeness, with minimal direction required
• Strong knowledge of application, and system software monitoring principles and practice.
• Some knowledge of infrastructure monitoring principles and practice.
• Good soft and people skills such as communication, respect, team work, negotiation abilities, flexibility, positive aptitude, and a personal drive to accomplish goals and results

Specific

• Proven working experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows based environments.
• Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks
• Experience with installing and monitoring systems
• Logical and physical database design with industry standard modeling tools and standards (methods)
• Proven experience translating customer business needs and requirements into technical requirements and specifications
• General knowledge of Microsoft Server Products
