• Eduvos is looking to hire the services of a Technical Script Writer based at any of our National campuses.

Type of position:

Independent Contractor Agreement
Purpose of the position:

• Freelance scriptwriter to write ad hoc scripts on technical subjects, specifically pertaining to the field of Information Technology.

Minimum Requirements    
Minimum qualification:

• Relevant qualification in broadcasting and/or scriptwriting;
• Relevant writing course or qualification (e.g. Copy Writing)
• A very good understanding of English as well as technical terms used in the field of Information Technology;
• Experience in the field of Information Technology crucial

Experience:

• At least 5 years’ experience in scriptwriting
• Relevant experience in broadcasting will be advantageous

Duties and Responsibilities    
Responsibilities:

• As the Technical Writer, you will be primarily responsible for the following:
• To interpret technical content and formulate scripts, adhering to guidelines of writing visually
• Be mindful of writing text in an engaging way and keep to strict guidelines such as a prescribed length
• Be able to identify key points in raw content and formulate and condense material into scripts
• Candidate must be able to create content in a timeously manner as well as have a good understanding of how to summarise technical content accurately and effectively for a learning environment
• To identify visuals that will enhance and serve as supplements for the scripts.
