Technician: Networking at Mustek Limited

Purpose

The Technician is responsible for servicing, testing and repairs of network equipment such DSL routers, WIFI access points, switches, mobile phones and/or other related equipment and components depending on the requirements of the position. The Technician also provides technical support to customers relevant to the specific area/discipline.

Responsibilities

• Follow the correct test process for all products.
• Complete optimum number of repairs per day according to the specific discipline.
• Complete work within the turnaround time.
• Maintain work rate at above 90% of SLA.
• Maintaining a rework rate of below 2% within a 90-day period between barcodes.
• Always keep the CMDB system up to date and keep all client's and jobs updated.
• Accept repairs on studio immediately after removing the item from the customer store.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

• Matric
• CompTIA A+ or equivalent
• CompTIA N+ will be of an advantage
• +3 years Networking experience

Skills

• Basic computer literacy especially in Microsoft applications skills
• Problem solving skills (analytical)
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Technical skills and problem analysis

Knowledge

• Good knowledge of general administrative and internal processes
• Knowledge of ICT industry
• Product offering software and hardware technical knowledge
