The purpose of the Time & Attendance and Payroll Administrator role is to accurately track and record employee attendance and to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing the day-to-day operations of the payroll office, including filing, maintaining personnel records, and assisting with accounting duties
Reconciling PAYE and preparing IRP5 certificates annually
Managing employee benefits statements and ensuring reconciliation between schedules and payroll records
Handling medical aid reconciliations
Ensuring compliance with employee policies and adherence to all legislative requirements
Processing monthly payroll elements, including overtime and allowances
Managing employee leave records and processing on ESS
Reviewing timesheet data and verifying hours worked on Xtime, including checking absences and overtime
Preparing payslips and addressing payroll-related requirements
Compiling salary, bonus, and salary increase schedules
Managing the onboarding and offboarding processes for employees within the system
Accurately gathering and preparing remuneration data for processing
Balancing the monthly payroll and finalizing the payroll close-off
Running monthly reports and importing/exporting files as needed
Completing and submitting UI19 forms and UIF electronic declarations
Addressing and resolving daily payroll inquiries
Handling retirement, retrenchment, and tax directive applications from SARS, as applicable
Reviewing and verifying other payrolls as necessary
